Putting Kleen & Dri Towels to Work For You!
Correct Technique For Using Kleen & Dri Towels: By using Kleen and Dri Towels you get a true one-step routine that will help you achieve fully stimulated cows while
increasing operator efficiency in the parlor. But, to get this, the correct technique for using Kleen and Dri Towels must be followed. |
- Brush-The correct technique involves first brushing loose dirt off the teat.
- Forestrip- Then fore stripping onto the cow platform in a parlor, or into the gutter or strip cup in a stanchion barn, without getting milk on your hands.

- Wipe-Next-using a Kleen and Dri Towel and
beginning with the teat farthest away from you-wipe down and around the teat to clean the sides of the teat.
- Wipe-Finally, wipe across the teat opening with a
clean section of the Kleen and Dri Towel.
Compared to a two-step pre-dip routine, Kleen and
Dri is the tool that will help you milk your cows faster and get you the greatest amount of high-quality milk because you clean, sanitize, and stimulate in one step with less walking and bending.
For best results, stimulate teats until they are flush with
milk and attach the unit immediately. Align the unit for even milkout. When the cow is milked out, remove the unit at once! Be sure takeoffs are properly adjusted. DO NOT OVERMILK!
Benefits of Good Stimulation:
- Faster milking=time savings
- Increased milk harvest=more$$$
- Less teat end damage=lower SCC
- Lower SCC=high production
- Higher production=improved profits
- Increased profits=happier dairy producer
